Product Description

The Aviom SB4 Rack - Mounted System Bridge is a great solution when used with the D800 A - Net Distributor. It can combine up to four synchronous Pro16 A - Net streams to create a Pro16e data stream for A360 Personal Mixers. Also, it simplifies long cable runs in digital snake and audio distribution systems by allowing up to four Pro16 A - Net streams to be transported over a single Cat - 5e cable. For personal mixing, digital console users can combine four A - Net streams and send data to a D800 or D800 - Dante A - Net Distributor. In digital snake applications, an SB4 at each end of the main run can combine or separate up to four 16 - channel A - Net streams, with a single Cat - 5e cable carrying up to 64 channels. The SB4 supports 64x0, 48X16, 32x32 or smaller digital snake configurations. All Cat - 5e connections use heavy - duty locking Neutrik EtherCon connectors. Key features include combining up to 4 synchronous A - Net streams, having four Neutrik EtherCon connectors on the rear panel and one on the front panel for A - Net Bridge output, requiring no power supply, and enabling multiple units to create digital snake systems. Technical specs: Four EtherCon RJ45 Connectors for A - Net Input/Output, one for A - Net Bridge, dimensions of 1U high x 19' (482.6 mm) wide x 1.25' (31.75 mm) deep, and a weight of 1.0 lb (0.45 kg).

Using the Aviom SB4 is easy. First, connect it with the D800 A - Net Distributor if you want to create a Pro16e data stream for A360 Personal Mixers. For personal mixing systems, just connect your digital console to the rear panel's four Neutrik EtherCon connectors. Then, connect the front - panel A - Net Bridge output to the D800 or D800 - Dante A - Net Distributor. In digital snake applications, place an SB4 at each end of the main run. Connect the A - Net Bridge ports on the front panel of each SB4 with a single Cat - 5e cable. Remember, this cable can carry up to 64 channels. There's no need to worry about a power supply as the SB4 doesn't require one. When it comes to maintenance, keep the connectors clean and check the Cat - 5e cable regularly for any signs of wear. Avoid bending the cable too sharply as it might affect the signal transmission. Also, make sure to store the SB4 in a dry and cool place when not in use.
