Product Description

Burst Electronics offers a remarkable series of Video Distribution Amplifiers. The VDA - 8 1x8 Video Distribution Amplifier uses cutting - edge high - speed, monolithic operational amplifier technology. This technology provides a wide bandwidth, excellent gain stability, and low differential gain and phase. You can choose from various models, like the compact MicroDA that can fit almost anywhere, or the 8 - output version suitable for Y/C (S - VHS/Hi8) applications. All units come with internal regulated bipolar power supplies and are powered by an external 12Vdc, ideal for field use. The MicroDA is a small yet powerful unit with a loopthru input. Its 33 MHz wide bandwidth ensures clear video. Despite its small size, it doesn't compromise on performance. You can adjust the gain by plus or minus 3 dB, and there's an external jumper to select 75 Ohm termination, so you don't need an external terminator.

Using the Burst Electronics VDA - 8 1x8 Video Distribution Amplifier is easy. First, connect the amplifier to an external 12Vdc power supply as it's powered that way. For input, use the loopthru input feature of the unit. If you're using it for Y/C (S - VHS/Hi8) applications, select the appropriate 8 - output version. You can adjust the gain according to your needs, with an adjustable range of plus or minus 3 dB. If you want 75 Ohm termination, use the external jumper instead of an external terminator. When it comes to maintenance, keep the unit in a clean and dry place. Regularly check the power connections to ensure they're secure. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you have any issues, check the power supply first and then the connections. If problems persist, contact the Burst Electronics support team.
