Product Description

The brand - new Cobalt BBG - 1040 - ACO Multi - Input Modular Framesync is a high - density standalone modular unit. It offers outstanding multi - input support, great flexibility, and is easy to use and integrate. With multiple SDI input ports, you can manually select an input or set it to switch to an alternate input (Auto - Changeover) when the input is lost. It also has user - configurable subjective criteria like black/frozen frame or audio silence for quality check and failover. You can insert two discrete character burn strings on the output video, either as static text or only when there's a loss of signal (LOS). Besides standard test pattern insert as an input LOS marker, it also supports importing user trouble slate graphics. A moving - box insertion can be enabled to perform a dynamic raster confidence check, even for static input video images. The device can receive and prioritize timecode from any standard SMPTE embedded or audio LTC timecode, then output and burn it into the output video. The BBG - 1040 - ACO uses a built - in web server, allowing you to control and monitor it via computers or smart devices from anywhere with web access, no special apps or plug - ins needed. Its compact 1/3 - rack size means 3 units can fit into a 1RU space, and an optional mounting tray is available for secure installation on a standard 19' frame. GPIO enables direct input routing control and status monitoring. Key features include dual relay protected input (signal passes even without power), smart Auto - Changeover input for black raster, frozen video, and loss of audio, character burn on loss of video input, framesync for test pattern generation on loss of input, moving box on loss of video input, and a web - based user interface/remote control along with Front Panel LCD local control. Technical specifications: Power consumption is less than 18 Watts, powered by a 12VDC AC adapter with universal input. It has specific video input/output configurations, supports various SMPTE formats, and has defined receive cable lengths, return loss, and alignment jitter values. Input select and Auto - Changeover failover can be set manually or based on user - configurable criteria, with relay latching to retain routing during power loss. Timecode insertion and burn - in, text burn - in, audio output, GPIO, control/monitor interface, frame reference input are all well - defined, and it comes with a five - year warranty.

Using the Cobalt BBG - 1040 - ACO is straightforward. First, connect the power using the provided 12VDC AC adapter. Then, hook up your SDI inputs and outputs according to your needs. You can control the input selection either manually through the web GUI, front panel controls, or GPI. For Auto - Changeover, set your preferred criteria like black/frozen frame or audio silence on the device. To insert timecode or text, use the user controls on the device to select the source and configure the display settings. When it comes to audio, you can route channels as you like and adjust the tone generator and downmix settings. For remote control, just access the built - in web server via the rear - panel Ethernet port from your computer or smart device. As for maintenance, keep the device in a clean and dry environment. Regularly check the connections to make sure they're secure. If you encounter any issues, refer to the five - year warranty for support.
