The EDIUS PTZ4Kb is a remarkable 4K 60p 30x PTZ camera in black. It's the successor to the famous Grass Valley Broadcast PTZ 35X HD Camera. Made in the same production facility, it no longer bears the 'Grass Valley' label, which makes it more affordable. This new 30x zoom model with a new sensor is way more powerful. It can output UHD at 50 or 60p, a big upgrade from the previous model's max of UHD 30p. It also has an audio line - in for external sound, a feature the old model lacked. With HDMI 2.0 and an SDI connection that's still 3G, it's well - equipped. It supports NDI Version 5 and SRT, and has a modern USB - C connection instead of USB 3.0. The auto - tracking function is the real star. It lets the camera automatically follow, pan, and zoom a person without an extra cameraman. You can set how the camera behaves in its own web interface, like choosing the shot size or the position of the tracked person in the frame. Key features include UHD resolution at 25 - 60p, 30x optical zoom, NDI | HX3 with NDI V5 SDK and SRT support, multiple connections, a 1/1.8” 12MP UHD CMOS sensor, and a view angle from 60° (wide) to 2° (tele) with a minimum working distance of 1.5m.
Using the EDIUS PTZ4Kb camera is a breeze. First, connect it to your power source using either the DC12V input or PoE+ via an Ethernet cable. Then, connect your video and audio devices. For video, you can use HDMI 2.0, SDI, or the USB - C port. The 3.5mm Jack is for audio input. Once connected, you can start using the camera. If you want to use the auto - tracking function, go to the web interface to set it up. You can choose the shot size, like close - up or long shot, and the position of the tracked person in the frame. When using the camera, make sure the minimum working distance of 1.5m is maintained for the best results. As for maintenance, keep the lens clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Also, store the camera in a dry and cool place when not in use. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are secure. If you're using the remote controller, keep it in good condition and replace the batteries when needed.
