Product Description
The MuxLab 500752-RX HDMI over IP Decoder is a great device for setting up and changing AV broadcasts. It lets you connect an HDMI source through any Ethernet LAN, no need for a dedicated cabling system. The HDMI Encoder turns an HDMI bitstream into IP for Ethernet LAN transmission, and the Decoder changes the IP packets back to the original HDMI bitstream for playback on an HDMI display. The MUX - 500752 - RX is a receiver and needs a MUX - 500752 - TX to work. You can also buy the MUX - 500752 as a complete kit. This device supports PoE (PD) and can be powered by a PoE (PSE) Ethernet Switch. If you don't have one, you can buy the power supply (500992) separately. Key features include extending 1080P HDMI signals up to 330ft (100m), supporting up to 16 transmitters and 200 receivers, multicasting and broadcasting, PoE, IR Control, and being HDCP compliant.
Using the MuxLab 500752 - RX HDMI over IP Decoder is easy. First, connect your HDMI source to the system through an Ethernet LAN. The HDMI Encoder will convert the HDMI bitstream into IP for transmission. The Decoder then turns the IP packets back to the original HDMI bitstream for playback on your HDMI display. Remember, this is just a receiver, so you need to pair it with a MUX - 500752 - TX to complete the system. You can also get the complete MUX - 500752 kit. For power, it supports PoE (PD) and should be powered by a PoE (PSE) Ethernet Switch. If you don't have one, buy the power supply (500992) separately. Keep in mind that it can extend 1080P HDMI signals up to 330ft (100m). Try not to exceed this distance for the best performance. Also, it supports up to 16 transmitters and 200 receivers, so plan your setup accordingly. When it comes to maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place. If there are any issues, check the connections and make sure the power supply is working properly.
