Product Description

The SSL Stereo Bus Compressor has a legendary sound that's been the secret sauce for top - notch mixes for over 40 years. Inspired by the 1980s Solid State Logic G - Series analogue console, this compressor is an audio production icon. It's a straightforward yet powerful tool that makes your mixes sound larger, more powerful, and full of punch. No other processor can bring the same level of cohesion and strength to your mix. The SSL Stereo Bus Compressor isn't just a production tool; it's an essential part of the creative process for top engineers and producers. Key features include the legendary SSL G Series Stereo Bus Compression, the ability to add glue and punch to your sound, additional compression ratio settings of 1.5 / 3 / 10, the renowned 'Auto' release, an HPF in the sidechain switchable to 30Hz / 60Hz / 106Hz / 125Hz / 185Hz, and a Sidechain In / Out switch.

Using this SSL Stereo Buss Compressor Module is easy. First, connect it properly to your 500 - Series MK3 setup. When you're working on a mix, turn it on and start adjusting the compression ratio settings according to your needs. The 1.5 ratio gives a gentle squeeze, while 3 and 10 ratios provide more aggressive compression. The 'Auto' release feature works well most of the time, but you can fine - tune it if you want. For the sidechain, use the HPF switch to filter out unwanted low frequencies. You can choose from 30Hz, 60Hz, 106Hz, 125Hz, or 185Hz based on what suits your mix. Also, use the Sidechain In / Out switch as required. As for maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If it gets dirty, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. When not in use, turn it off and unplug it to save energy and extend its lifespan.
