Product Description

The Sonifex AVN - AO16R is an outstanding audio converter and interface. It can convert up to sixteen analogue outputs from the Dante Audio - over - IP networking standard. With dual Ethernet ports, this unit can operate in redundant mode. This means that even if there's a loss of link on one of the network connections, the audio routing will still be maintained. Key features include 16 balanced analogue outputs on XLR, adjustable global 0dBFS line up selection, two RJ45 Dante connectors allowing redundant or switched modes, PoE and Link LED status indicators for each Ethernet port, a clock LED status indicator, configuration using Dante Controller, AES67 operation and Dante Domain Manager compliance. It's powered by PoE on either or both Ethernet ports, offering power supply redundancy, and comes in a 1U 19' rack - mount form factor. The technical specifications show that it supports various sample rates, formats, and has excellent audio output performance, along with specific PoE power details and physical dimensions.

Using the Sonifex AVN - AO16R is quite straightforward. First, connect it to your network using the RJ45 connectors. You can choose between redundant or switched modes depending on your needs. Then, use the Dante Controller to configure the settings. Make sure to select the appropriate 0dBFS line up according to your audio requirements. When it comes to power, you can power it through PoE on one or both Ethernet ports. As for maintenance, keep the unit in a clean and dry environment. Regularly check the LED status indicators to ensure everything is working properly. If you encounter any network issues, check the network connections and the settings in the Dante Controller. Also, be aware of the power consumption limits and don't overload the unit.
