Product Description
The Thor Fiber F-RF-BR is a low-cost solution for military and high-security RF fiber break applications. It transports RF signals over a single-directional fiber link, preventing return signals. This is crucial for high-security scenarios. Ideal for short-distance RF over fiber, it creates a one-way RF path. Our standard units cover the CATV band from 45 - 870 MHz, and we can also offer units for satellite bands and other communication frequencies. Coaxial cables pose a security risk for sensitive data, so protect your facility with our Thor RF Fiber Breaks. Key features include microprocessor-controlled parameters, a 1 RU transmitter form factor, and it comes with a Thor transmitter, jumper, and mini receiver. Installation is easy and quick with all components included. Technical specs: Laser power of 4mW, RF frequency from 5 - 1000Mhz, 1310nm wavelength, optical power > +3.5 dBm, SC/APC fiber connector, 19 - 21 dBmV RF input power, Type-F 75 Ohm RF connector, 120 - 240 VAC power input, 50W power rating, dimensions of 19 x 10 x 1.75 IN, and an operating temperature range of -5 - 65 C. The RF receiver has a compact design with simple fiber input and RF output.
Using the Thor Fiber F-RF-BR is straightforward. First, make sure to connect all the components included in the package - the Thor transmitter, jumper, and mini receiver. Connect the fiber to the SC/APC fiber connector and the RF cable to the Type - F 75 Ohm RF connector. Plug the power cord into a 120 - 240 VAC power source. During installation, ensure that the unit is placed in an area with a temperature between -5 and 65 C. When handling the unit, be gentle to avoid damaging the internal components. For maintenance, keep the unit clean and free from dust. Periodically check the connections to make sure they are secure.
