The DigitaLinx DL-USB2-H is an outstanding USB 2.0 high-speed twisted pair extender host. It can extend a high-speed USB 2.0 signal (480 Mbps) up to 100 meters (328 feet), allowing you to use USB devices at a greater distance. For low-power devices like keyboards or mice, the modular extenders can be powered on either end. For remote devices that need more power, the client-side extender must be powered. This product line includes a modular USB host transmitter (DL-USB2-H), a modular USB client receiver (DL-USB2-C), a wall plate USB host transmitter (DL-USB2-WP-H), and a wall plate USB receiver (DL-USB2-WP-C), and all host and client combinations are compatible. Using the DigitaLinx DL-USB2-H is quite easy. First, connect your USB device to the USB Type B port on the extender. Then, use a Cat5e/6/6A twisted pair cable to connect the 8P8C port (Shielded RJ45) of the extender. For low-power devices like keyboards or mice, you can power the modular extenders from either end. But if you're using a remote device that needs more power, make sure to power the client-side extender. When it comes to power supply, plug it into a 100V - 240VAC / 50 - 60 Hz power source. Keep in mind that the operating temperature should be between 0° to +40° C (+32° to +104° F), and the operating humidity should be 20% to 90%, non-condensing. For storage, the temperature should range from -10° to +60° C (+14° to +140° F), and the humidity should also be 20% to 90%, non-condensing. To maintain this product, keep it clean and dry. If you encounter any electrostatic discharge situations, don't worry as it has ESD protection of ±8kV (air-gap discharge) and ±4KV (contact discharge).
