Product Description

The Fiberplex FOI-DSE3-R-ST Isolator is designed for T3 or DS3 communications, offering complete electrical isolation. Ideal for high - noise areas or RF shielded enclosures, it uses fiber optic cable. This cable is immune to impulse noise, crosstalk, and EMI, boosts communication privacy as it doesn't radiate emissions, and enables much longer transmission distances compared to copper wiring. Traditional E3 coax cabling maxes out at 1100ft (335m), but this isolator's multimode optics can reach 2km, and single - mode optics up to 20km. Key features include a 34.368 Mbps data rate, compliance with ITU - T standards, suitability for various applications like SONET ADMs and PDH equipment, meeting K41 protection specs, RFI suppression, and multimode ST optics. Technical specs cover power requirements (7 - 12V, 300mA), environmental conditions (- 40 - 85 °C storage, 0 - 50 °C operation), line encoding (AMI/HDB3), BNC interface connectors, and multimode details (62.5 / 125 μm, 2km max distance, 1300nm wavelength, etc.).

Using the Fiberplex FOI - DSE3 - R - ST Isolator is straightforward. First, make sure the power supply meets the requirements, with a voltage between 7V and 12V. Connect the device to your T3 or DS3 communication system using the BNC interface connector. When using the fiber optic cable, be careful not to bend it too sharply as it can affect the signal. For the best performance, operate the isolator within the recommended temperature range of 0 - 50 °C. Store it in a dry place with a temperature between - 40 - 85 °C. Regularly check the cable for any signs of damage. If you notice a significant drop in signal quality, it might be time to clean the connectors or replace the cable. Also, ensure that the system remains compliant with the ITU - T standards for smooth operation.
