Product Description

The Fiberplex FOI - DST3 - R - ST Isolator is a top - notch solution for T3 or DS3 communications. It offers complete electrical isolation, making it ideal for high - electrical - noise areas and RF shielded enclosures. The fiber optic cable used in this isolator is immune to impulse noise, crosstalk, and EMI. It also enhances communication privacy as it doesn't radiate emissions. Moreover, it can transmit data over much longer distances compared to traditional copper wiring. While traditional T3 coax cabling has a 1100ft (335m) limit, the multimode optics on this unit can reach up to 2km, and singlemode optics can go up to 20km. Key features include a 44.736 Mbps data rate, compliance with multiple standards, suitability for various applications like SONET ADMs and PDH equipment, satisfaction of K41 protection specs, RFI suppression, and multimode ST optics. Technical specs cover power requirements, environmental conditions, data rate, line encoding, interface connector, and multimode details.

Using the Fiberplex FOI - DST3 - R - ST Isolator is straightforward. First, connect it to your T3 or DS3 communication system according to the interface connector instructions. Make sure the power supply meets the specified voltage range of 7V - 12V with a supply current of 300 mA. When using it, keep in mind the operating temperature should be between 0 - 50 °C. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures outside the storage temperature range of - 40 - 85 °C. For maintenance, keep the unit clean and check the fiber optic cable regularly for any signs of damage. If you notice any issues with data transmission or the unit itself, refer to the technical specifications and contact customer support if needed.
