Product Description
The MuxLab 500756-TX is a top - notch PoE - enabled 3G - SDI over IP transmitter. It offers seamless extension and distribution of broadcast - quality SDI, HD - SDI, or 3G - SDI video with embedded audio over local area networks. This low - latency solution comes with separate transmitter and receiver units that can be combined in various ways. It's a budget - friendly alternative to a dedicated SDI matrix switch. Instead of using traditional SDI coax cables, you can send SDI signals over CAT5/6 cable infrastructure, saving on cable costs and speeding up installation. Ideal for critical video/audio applications like original video source contribution and live video delivery in broadcast facilities. Key features include support for up to 1080p resolutions, low - latency Motion JPEG compression, the ability to handle hundreds of transmitters and receivers based on network bandwidth, multiple LAN switch configurations, and support for RS232 and one - way IR for remote control of end devices. It can extend transmission up to 330ft (100m) with a LAN switch and 400ft (120m) in a point - to - point setup without one.
Using this product is easy. First, connect the transmitter to your SDI source and plug it into the LAN network. If you're using PoE, the power will be supplied through the network cable. For the receiver, connect it to your display device and also to the same LAN network. Make sure your network has enough bandwidth to support the number of transmitters and receivers you're using. When it comes to the configuration, you can choose different setups like point - to - point or point - to - multipoint according to your needs. As for maintenance, keep the devices in a clean and dry place. Check the network connections regularly to ensure there are no loose cables. If you face any issues, make sure the devices are powered on and the network is functioning properly. Also, remember that the transmission distance can vary depending on whether you're using a LAN switch or not, so plan your setup accordingly.
