Product Description

The Shure AD8C is a must - have accessory for pros using multiple Axient Digital PSM systems. It simplifies complex setups by efficiently merging RF outputs from up to eight transmitters into one output for a single transmit antenna. This makes your configuration neater and performance more reliable. The AD8C is designed with flexibility in mind. You can choose between two modes. The 8:1 mode is great for large - scale system integrations, combining up to eight RF inputs into one output. The 2x 4:1 mode splits the combiner into two parts, each combining four RF inputs into one output, which enhances signal reliability and reduces dropouts. To prevent signal loss, it has Automatic Transmitter Compensation when used with ADTQ or ADTD Axient Digital PSM transmitters, ensuring top - notch audio quality. The built - in Ethernet switch allows for remote control and firmware updates, keeping your system up - to - date and easy to manage. There's also an optional DC module version for those who need redundant power. Key Features: 8 - port passive antenna combiner for Axient Digital PSM systems; Selectable 8:1 or 2x 4:1 modes for flexible setup; Automatic Transmitter Compensation with specific transmitters; Integrated Ethernet switch; Optional DC module for redundant power (AC model is default). Technical Specifications: Dimensions: 19' x 10.5' x 1.75', Weight: 8 lbs. What's Included: 1 AD8C Antenna Combiner, 1 Locking power cable, 1 Locking power jumper cable, 8 BNC cables, 1 Ethernet cable, 1 Ethernet jumper cable, 1 Rackmount kit.

Using the Shure AD8C is quite straightforward. First, connect your Axient Digital PSM transmitters to the appropriate ports on the combiner. Then, connect the output of the combiner to your transmit antenna. You can choose the 8:1 mode if you have up to eight transmitters and want to combine all their RF outputs into one. Or, if you prefer, select the 2x 4:1 mode to split the combiner into two sections for better signal reliability. When using it with ADTQ or ADTD transmitters, the Automatic Transmitter Compensation will work automatically to keep the signal strong. Use the Ethernet cable to connect to the built - in Ethernet switch. This way, you can control the combiner remotely and update its firmware. As for maintenance, keep the combiner in a clean and dry place. Regularly check the connections to make sure they are secure. If you are using the optional DC module for redundant power, check the power supply regularly to ensure stable operation. When not in use, store the combiner and all its included cables properly to avoid damage.
