Telescript's FPS 170S-NDI is an excellent 17-inch IP studio teleprompting system with NDI. It's tailored for in-studio use that demands IP connectivity. The large hood enables the use of box lenses, and the high-brightness 17-inch monitor with NDI lets the talent clearly view the prompted text. Key features include compatibility with any full-sized studio or ENG camera, a 17” high-brite monitor with 1000nits standard, multiple inputs like NDI, SDI, SDI Loop, VGA, HDMI, Composite, and Composite Loop, built-in image reverse, a choice of mounting plate or rod mount system, a usage range up to 45 feet away, and it comes with a monitor, trapezoidal hood, mounting hardware, beamsplitter, and counterweight and camera riser (except in rod mount systems). The system weighs 24 lbs (10.88 kg).
Using this teleprompting system is quite easy. First, connect it to your camera. You can choose from different input options like NDI, SDI, etc., based on your camera's compatibility. Mount it properly using either the mounting plate or rod mount system. Place it within 45 feet of your setup. When using it, make sure the talent can clearly see the text on the high-brightness monitor. For maintenance, keep the monitor clean. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you're using the rod mount system, note that it doesn't come with a counterweight and riser. Regularly check the connections to ensure a stable performance.
