Product Description

The Doug Fleenor Design PRE10 - P Preset 10 Portable Playback Device is a versatile tool for lighting control. It can serve as a seamless backup for DMX512 lighting consoles or work as a stand - alone DMX512 preset console. This device can store up to ten presets, which are recorded by capturing the output of a DMX512 console. Each preset can have a unique crossfade time from 0 to 999 seconds. To recall a preset, just press one of the buttons. When used as a backup, it monitors the DMX512 output from your lighting console. If the console output is lost, it starts transmitting to maintain the current look and alerts you about the DMX loss. Then, you can initiate crossfading to any stored preset by pressing a preset button. Technical specs include 5 - pin male (3 - pin optional) gold - plated input and 5 - pin female (3 - pin optional) gold - plated output connectors. It has an ESD - protected EIA - 485 transceiver, ten green preset indicator LEDs, one red Signal / Record LED, ten preset push buttons, one recessed record push button, and one recessed fade time push button. It runs on a universal power supply of 100 - 240VAC, 50/60 hertz, consuming 5 watts. The chassis is 5.3'H × 1.8'D × 3.2'W and weighs 12 ounces, while the power supply is 2.2'H × 1.0'D × 1.9'W and weighs 5 ounces.

Using the Doug Fleenor Design PRE10 - P Preset 10 Portable Playback Device is easy. First, connect it to your DMX512 lighting console using the appropriate connectors. If you want to record presets, use the recessed record push button to capture the output of the console. You can set a unique crossfade time for each preset with the recessed fade time push button. To recall a preset, simply press the corresponding preset push button. When it's acting as a backup, it'll keep an eye on the DMX512 output from your console. If there's a loss of output, it'll take over and let you know. Just press a preset button to start crossfading. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity. When not in use, unplug the power supply to save energy and protect the device. Also, be careful when handling the connectors to avoid damage.
