The ESE ES - 188E is an amazing NTP referenced master clock and time code generator. It shows nine digits (Day of Year, Hour, Minute, and Second) of time received from a user - chosen NTP server. At the same time, it generates multiple types of time code like ESE - TC89, ESE - TC90, USB, RS232C/ASCII, SMPTE/EBU, and IRIG - B, along with a 1PPS signal. These outputs make it super easy to connect with new or existing computer, automation, and clock systems. Key features include various time code outputs, an NTP Ethernet Port, 1 PPS output, a front - panel nine - digit .56' yellow LED display, NTP sync indicator, time zone offset, automatic daylight saving time correction, time advance/retard feature, configuration via RS - 232 and USB, included PC software, 4 - hour battery backup, NTP lock LED indicator and TTL output, and a 1.75' rackmount enclosure.
Using the ESE ES - 188E is a breeze. First, connect it to your chosen NTP server through the NTP Ethernet Port (RJ - 45). You can configure it via RS - 232 or USB, and there's even included PC software to help with that. Once set up, it'll display the time on the front - panel nine - digit yellow LED display. When using the different time code outputs, make sure your connected systems support the specific time code types. Regarding the 4 - hour battery backup, it's there to keep the clock running in case of a power outage. For maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry environment.
