Product Description

The ESE ES-249/UL is a top - notch time distribution amplifier. It comes with a UL/CSA approved wall - mount power supply. This amplifier takes in RS - 232C/ASCII signals and outputs up to eight identical copies. You'll find a single input and eight outputs on the rear - mounted 9 - pin D - sub connectors. Since RS - 232C has its limitations, for long cable runs, you might need to use a different time code and then convert it to RS - 232C. Key features include distributing ASCII time codes, 8 isolated outputs, a male DB - 9 input connector, female DB - 9 output connectors, and an RxD feed - thru on Channel 1 output for query applications. Technical specs: it runs on 117 VAC, 50/60 Hz, with a maximum power of 2 Watts. It measures 1.75' x 19' x 5' deep, uses ASCII (RS - 232C) time code, has 9 - Pin D - Sub connectors, and has a single 1 x 8 configuration.

Using the ESE ES - 249/UL time distribution amplifier is easy. First, connect your RS - 232C/ASCII source to the male DB - 9 input connector. Then, connect your devices to the female DB - 9 output connectors. You can use it to distribute ASCII time codes to multiple devices. For query applications, the RxD feed - thru on Channel 1 output can be very useful. When it comes to long cable runs, remember that you may need to use a different time code and then translate it to RS - 232C. Make sure the amplifier is connected to a 117 VAC, 50/60 Hz power source. The power consumption is quite low, with a maximum of 2 Watts. As for maintenance, keep the amplifier in a dry and clean place. Regularly check the connectors for any signs of damage or looseness. If you have any issues, refer to the technical specifications provided to troubleshoot.
