Product Description

The Hall Technologies VERSA-4K-S Sender Unit is a key part of the VERSA-4K 4K Video and USB Extension system. It allows you to extend and switch multiple HDMI video and USB data to numerous receivers over a simple Gigabit network. You can also extend bidirectional IR, RS-232, and auxiliary stereo audio. This sender unit comes with advanced features. It offers low-latency video and audio, and supports CEC and Serial over IP for easy control. You can expand and split 4K video on multiple screens using the video wall processor, and perform video rotation and flipping. It has USB Device class filtering to exclude certain USB device types. Automatic KVM switching, Telnet, and webGUI control make it very user - friendly. PoE support adds to its convenience. Key features include extending and switching multiple 4K HDMI video and USB on a Gigabit LAN, and can be used for point - to - point extension without a LAN. It extends signals up to 120 meters, has an HDMI video loop output, and extracts HDMI audio in stereo analog format. The receiver has 4 USB ports. It's PoE powered with an included power supply. Technical specs show it supports a wide range of resolutions, operates at +32 to +104F, and has a metal chassis with mounting brackets.

Using the Hall Technologies VERSA-4K-S Sender Unit is quite straightforward. First, connect it to your Gigabit network if you're using it for multi - receiver setup. For point - to - point extension, you can connect it directly without a LAN. Connect your HDMI video source and USB devices to the sender unit. On the receiver side, connect it to the display and other relevant devices. When setting up, you can use the front panel character - LCD to configure IP parameters. You can also use the free PC GUI for advanced setup. If you want to exclude certain USB devices like USB flash drives, use the USB Device Class Filtering feature. For switching channels, use the small IR remote controller that comes with the receivers. When it comes to maintenance, keep the unit in a dry environment within the operating temperature range of +32 to +104F. Make sure the power supply is properly connected. If the PoE is not available, use the included power supply. Clean the unit gently with a dry cloth from time to time. Avoid exposing it to moisture as it may damage the internal components.
