Product Description

Reamping is a popular recording technique loved by sound engineers. The Palmer Trave Passive Re-Amplification Box is the perfect tool for this. It allows you to easily run guitar, bass, keyboard, drum, and even vocal tracks through amplifiers and effects pedals at your own pace. This passive box needs no external power supply. Inside, a specially designed transformer turns the balanced line signal into an unbalanced Hi-Z signal with a perfectly matched impedance for your guitar amplifier or effect pedal. It also stops ground loops, which are common when connecting an audio interface or mixer output to a guitar amp or effects pedal. The input can switch between consumer (-10 dBV) and professional (+4 dBu) levels, and the output level can be adjusted continuously, so you can get the sound you want. With this box, you can add new creative sounds and timbres to your music and stay true to your unique sound. Key features include routing signals from the DAW or mixer to guitar or bass amplifiers, preventing ground loop hum, converting balanced to unbalanced signals, optimal impedance matching, keeping the sound clean, switchable input levels, continuously adjustable output levels, passive operation, a solid aluminum and steel casing, an included rewritable tour label, and being engineered in Germany.

Using the Palmer Trave Passive Re-Amplification Box is easy. First, connect your audio interface or mixer output to the input of the box using an XLR cable. The input allows you to switch between consumer (-10 dBV) and professional (+4 dBu) levels according to your needs. Then, connect the output of the box to your guitar amplifier or effect pedal using a 6.3 mm jack cable. You can adjust the output level continuously to get the sound you like. When using it, make sure the ambient temperature is between -20 - 70 °C and the relative humidity is less than 80% (non-condensing). Avoid exposing it to extreme conditions. For maintenance, keep the box clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it. If there are any issues, check the connections first. The box has a solid aluminum and steel casing, but still handle it with care to avoid physical damage. The included inscription label (tour label) can be attached to the back of the box for identification, and the rubber feet help keep it stable.
