For recording, each input has its own gain control, so you can adjust the sound as you like. When it's time to stream, all inputs will combine into one signal for your streaming software. To hear the direct input in your headphones while sending the signal to your DAW or streaming software, just flip the Direct Monitor Switch. If you want to add background music or sing along with an instrumental track, use the Loopback Switch. When it comes to power, you have options. You can use 2 AA batteries, an AC adapter, or USB bus power. If you're using batteries, keep in mind that the continuous operation time varies. Alkaline batteries last about 3 hours, NiMH about 4.5 hours, and lithium about 8.5 hours, but this can change based on how you use it. Make sure to use a USB cable that supports data transfer. And when it's not in use, store it in a dry and clean place to keep it in good condition. If you want to clean it, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface.
