The Decimator Design DECIMATOR 2 is a compact converter that transforms (3G/HD/SD)-SDI signals into both HDMI and NTSC/PAL outputs. It offers simultaneous scaling on both outputs and de-embedded analogue audio. Key features include auto - detection of 3G, HD, or SD (26 formats in total) and handling of synchronous source switching. It provides simultaneous scaling on HDMI and composite outputs with a max 1 - input - frame delay. The HDMI output has optional full scaling and aspect - ratio conversion and passes EIA - 708/608 closed captions to the composite output. Technical specs cover a down - converted composite output with selectable NTSC or PAL for 3G/HD inputs, unchanged SD passing, low - latency down - conversion, and multiple aspect - ratio conversion options. There's also full 16 - channel audio metering, an adjustable graticules generator, and text overlays on the HDMI output. De - embedded analogue audio is output via 2 x RCA connectors.
