Product Description

The DigitaLinx IP IPEX5001-D is an outstanding AV over IP encoder. It efficiently transmits HDMI video and audio across a 1 gigabit network using JPEG2000 encoding. With a variable data rate averaging 250 Mbps and peak values reaching up to 850 Mbps, it ensures smooth data transfer. This encoder is Dante enabled, allowing it to integrate two - channel stereo audio from either the embedded HDMI audio stream or the 3.5mm analog audio input into a Dante audio network. The integration of multicast video and Dante audio IP streams into a single Ethernet cable simplifies networked audio - video solutions. An analog audio output port extracts stereo 2 - channel audio from the HDMI embedded stream while still sending it to the HDMI output. It supports video signals up to 4K at 60 Hz 4:2:0 / 8 bit color with HDR10 and HDCP 2.2. The IPEX5001-D supports PoE power, so you can power it remotely via a PoE network switch, eliminating the need for a nearby power outlet. The RS232 port relays commands from the IPEXCB controller and can operate in pass - through mode to control third - party devices like TV displays or HDMI switchers. The USB host port can connect to USB 2.0 Full Speed compliant devices up to 12Mbps, enabling communication with client - side devices connected to the decoder. USB routing follows the video route by default but can be freely routed via API. Key features include HDMI video and audio transmission over a gigabit IP network using JPEG2000 encoding, integration of audio into a Dante network, support for 4K HDR and 7.1 multichannel audio, and more. It's suitable for various applications such as video distribution, digital signage, and large - scale HDMI distribution.

Using the DigitaLinx IP IPEX5001-D is easy. First, connect it to your network using the Ethernet cable. If you want to use PoE power, connect it to a PoE - enabled network switch. This way, you don't need to find a nearby power outlet. For video and audio input, connect your HDMI source and use the 3.5mm analog audio input if needed. The encoder will then transmit the signals over the network. To control third - party devices like a TV or an HDMI switcher, use the RS232 port. You can also connect a USB 2.0 Full Speed compliant device through the USB host port. Remember, by default, USB routing follows the video route, but you can change it using the API. When using the Dante audio feature, make sure to select the right audio source, either from the HDMI stream or the analog input. As for maintenance, keep the device in a clean and dry place. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are secure. If there are any issues, refer to the free 3rd - party control drivers available for download for troubleshooting.
