Product Description
Ikan's Turnkey Broadcast Solution is a comprehensive package designed for professional camera setups. It includes a 17-inch SDI teleprompter, a sturdy tripod, and a smooth dolly, all neatly packed with a travel case. This solution has been internally tested for payload compatibility, ensuring a seamless experience.
The 17-inch teleprompter system is part of Ikan's 4th generation series, built for quick and easy setups across all applications. The lightweight aluminum teleprompter features multiple 3/8-16” and 1/4-20” mounting points, and its monitor offers 3G-SDI, HDMI, and VGA inputs.
The high-quality 70/30 American-made teleprompter glass provides a perfect balance of reflection and pass-through, delivering a crisp and clear prompting image under both sunlight and studio lighting. With 1000 nits of brightness, you'll always have a visible image.
Balancing the teleprompter is a breeze with the included rail, allowing you to offset the setup up to 7 inches. The professional line teleprompters support a wide range of camera sizes, thanks to four different camera mount bases and counterweights. The base can be easily adjusted without removing the plate.
The fluid head offers smooth panning and tilting, with 8 levels of adjustable counterbalance to keep your camera stable and prevent sudden movements. The pan and tilt locks give you precise control over your camera's position.
The 8-inch tripod plate provides an extra 6 inches of sliding range for counterbalancing. The heavy-duty aluminum tripod has a twin tube design with two stages and an E-Image Mono-Lock for easy height adjustment. It can reach a maximum height of 63” and a minimum of 18” when fully extended, and folds down to 29”.
The fluid head includes a 100mm bowl mount with a twist lock to secure the payload. The dual panhandles offer firm control and are great for mounting zoom, focus, and iris controls, with a length range of 16.7” to 24”.

Using this Ikan teleprompter package is a straightforward process. First, unpack all the components from the travel case and the carrying bags. Set up the tripod by extending the legs and adjusting the height using the E-Image Mono-Lock. Make sure the tripod is stable on the ground, and you can use the spiked or retractable feet depending on the surface.
Next, attach the fluid head to the tripod using the 100mm bowl mount and secure it with the twist lock. Then, mount the 17-inch teleprompter system to the fluid head using the 8-inch tripod plate. You can adjust the position of the teleprompter using the sliding range on the plate.
Connect your camera to the teleprompter monitor using the available video inputs like HDMI, VGA, or 3G-SDI. Install the PrompterPro4 Software on your device and connect it to the teleprompter to start using the prompting feature.
If you need to use the dolly, attach it to the setup and ensure the cable guards are in place to protect the cables. You can use the dual panhandles to control the movement of the camera and adjust the zoom, focus, and iris controls.
**Note**: When balancing the teleprompter and camera setup, use the rail and the counterbalance system. Adjust the counterbalance levels according to the weight of your camera and accessories to prevent sudden movements.
**Maintenance**: After each use, clean the teleprompter glass with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any fingerprints or dust. Store the components in the provided hard cases and carrying bags to protect them from damage. Periodically check the tripod legs and locks for any signs of wear and tear, and lubricate the moving parts if necessary. Keep the equipment in a dry and cool place to avoid any moisture damage.
