The LiveMix LM - MICPRE is a USB - powered preamplifier designed for external intercom dynamic microphones. It enables you to connect an external dynamic microphone to the built - in intercom system. This not only allows musical directors and team members to communicate clearly but also helps you save channels on personal mixers or consoles. You can use any standard dynamic microphone as an intercom mic with the LM - MICPRE. The intercom button has three modes. The 'always on' mode keeps the mic active all the time. In 'latch mode', one press turns the mic on and another turns it off. The 'push to talk' mode makes the mic active only when the button is pressed. Additionally, the LM - MICPRE is compatible with the optional FP - 2 foot pedal. You can assign the same button functions to the first foot - switch button for hands - free intercom operation.

Using the LiveMix LM - MICPRE is easy. First, connect your external dynamic microphone to the preamplifier and then plug the preamplifier into a USB port. You can start using your external mic with the intercom system right away. When setting up the intercom button, choose the mode that suits your needs: 'always on' if you want continuous communication, 'latch mode' for simple on - off control, or 'push to talk' for momentary use. If you have the FP - 2 foot pedal, connect it to the preamplifier and assign button functions for hands - free operation. As for maintenance, keep the preamplifier clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. When not in use, unplug it from the USB port and store it in a safe place.
