The new E Series Dynamics Module for 500 Series racks brings back the iconic sonic charm of the early 80’s classic, the SL 4000 E console channel strip, heard on numerous 1980’s recordings. It features a compressor/limiter and an expander/gate, faithfully replicating the circuitry and key components of the original SL 611E Series channel strip. A true RMS converter is used in the side - chain, and the gain element is an all - discrete design like the Class A VCA chip in the original unit. The compressor offers extra switching options to bypass the over - easy curve and use a linear release instead of the typical logarithmic curve, resulting in three distinct voices with unique musical characters. Key features include immortal SSL 4000 Series circuitry, Class A VCA replication, an expander/gate, and a design based on the classic 611E console channel strip.

Using this module is easy. First, install it properly in your 500 - Series rack. When using the compressor, you can switch between different curves to get the sound you want. For a more linear effect, choose the linear release option. The expander/gate can help you control unwanted noise. Just adjust the settings according to your audio needs.
