Product Description
The PY64-D Dante Expansion Card is a game - changer for the DM7 Series. It offers 64 input and 64 output channels at 96 kHz, delivering top - notch audio quality. With its sample rate converter (SRC) capabilities, it simplifies connections in complex systems with different sample rates. It comes with both synchronous and asynchronous SRC modes, allowing the DM7 console to communicate seamlessly with devices of varying sample rates, whether you're in a live sound gig or a recording studio. Designed for reliability, the PY64 - D has primary and secondary connectors for redundant connections, minimizing downtime during network glitches. You can conveniently control the SRC settings directly from the DM7 console's GUI, giving you full control over sample rates across multiple devices. It also supports daisy - chaining, making it easy to integrate into large systems. With low power consumption and a compact form factor, this card is essential for expanding your Dante network while maintaining high - quality audio and system reliability. Key features include 64 inputs/outputs at 96 kHz with SRC, synchronous and asynchronous SRC options, direct control of SRC settings, redundant connectivity, daisy chain support, and full compatibility with Dante networks.
Using the PY64 - D Dante Expansion Card is straightforward. First, install the card into your DM7 console following the standard installation procedures. Once installed, you can start using it right away. If you need to adjust the sample rate, you can do so directly from the DM7 console's GUI. Just find the relevant settings and make your adjustments according to the devices you're using. When it comes to connectivity, make sure to connect the primary and secondary connectors to ensure reliable operation. In case of a network issue, the secondary connection will kick in to keep your system running. For maintenance, keep the card in a clean and dry environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside the operating and storage temperature ranges specified. Also, check the connectors regularly to ensure they are clean and properly connected. If you have any questions or encounter problems, refer to the user manual or contact Yamaha's customer support.
