Product Description

The ESE ES-188F is a powerful NTP referenced master clock and time code generator. It shows nine digits of time from a user - chosen NTP server, including the day of the year, hour, minute, and second. At the same time, it creates various time codes like SMPTE/EBU LTC, ESE - TC90/TC89, ASCII (RS - 232C & USB), IRIG - B, and a 1PPS signal. These outputs make it easy to connect with new or existing computers, automation, and clock systems. The software for the ES - 188F lets users update a Windows computer clock using the USB port. You can select SMPTE modes, adjust the time zone, and offset the time for synchronization. It's a great choice if you have trouble getting a GPS signal indoors, installing an antenna outside, or need to synchronize time remotely. Key features include multiple time code outputs, NTP input, authentication support, a universal power supply, and more.

Using the ESE ES - 188F is straightforward. First, connect it to an NTP server via the RJ - 45 IPv6 input port. Once connected, it will start getting the time and display it on the front - panel nine - digit yellow LED. To use the software, download it from the web and install it on your PC. You can then control the device, update the Windows clock, and adjust settings like SMPTE mode, time zone, and time offset. When it comes to maintenance, keep the device in a dry and cool place. Check the coin - cell time backup regularly to ensure it's working. If you choose the optional 10 MHz reference input or OCXO oscillator, make sure they are properly installed. Also, keep the software up - to - date for the best performance. Note that if you're installing it in a facility, be aware of the power supply requirements (90 - 264 VAC). And if you're having trouble with GPS signals or antenna installation, this device is a great alternative for time synchronization.
