The Hall Technologies U2-160-4 is an amazing USB 2.0 extender. It comes with a built-in 4-Port Hub at the remote end, allowing you to connect up to 4 USB devices. This extender can send USB signals across a CAT5e/6 cable up to 50 meters at a high data rate of 480 Mbps. In most cases, it doesn't need an additional power supply as it draws power from the host and sends it through the CAT5e/6 cable. A universal power supply is included for power-hungry USB devices. Key features include support for all USB device speeds (480 Mb/s high-speed, 12 Mb/s full-speed, 1.5 Mb/s low speed), allowing remote placement of USB devices up to 50m (164 ft), supporting hot plug/unplug, being economical, not requiring a software driver, and coming with a power supply.

Using the Hall Technologies U2 - 160 - 4 is easy. First, connect the local unit's upstream port (USB type A Male) to your host device. Then, connect the downstream port (RJ45 Jack) to one end of the CAT5e/6 cable. At the other end of the cable, connect it to the remote unit's upstream port (RJ45 Jack). The remote unit's downstream ports (USB Type A Female) are where you can plug in your USB devices. In most cases, the extender will draw power from the host and send it through the cable, but if you have power - hungry devices, use the included universal power supply. When using the product, avoid using cables longer than 50 meters as it may affect the signal. Keep the device in an environment with a temperature between 32 to 150 F (0 to 65 C).
