Product Description
Ikan's Turnkey Broadcast Solution offers a comprehensive setup for professional camera needs. It includes a 12-inch teleprompter, pedestal, and dolly. All systems are internally tested for payload compatibility. After mounting the full 12-inch teleprompter system, it can handle camera setups up to 9.7 lbs. The solution comes with carrying bags for the pedestal, fluid head, and dolly. The 12-inch teleprompter system is from Ikan's 4th generation professional series, designed for quick and easy setup in outside broadcast or professional studio applications. The lightweight aluminum teleprompter has multiple 3/8-16” and 1/4-20” threads for pedestal mounting. The monitor features HDMI, VGA, and Composite (BNC) inputs. The high-quality 70/30 American-made teleprompter glass provides clear reflection and pass-through without image distortion. With 1000 nits, the prompting image is crisp and visible in any lighting. The teleprompter has a wide camera compatibility range, including DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and camcorders. It's easy to balance with a sliding plate on the base. The tripod plate offers an extra 5.7 inches of sliding range for balance. The fluid head has adjustable pan & tilt drag and a fixed counterbalance that can support up to 13.2 lbs. The dual panhandles provide firm control and are great for mounting controls. The geared center column of the tripod can extend 19.75” for high-angle shots. The pedestal has aluminum legs, and the heavy-duty dolly supports up to 88.2 lbs, ideal for quick repositioning. The teleprompter is shipped in reusable custom-cut foam in an SKB Waterproof Hard Case. Key features include a 12” teleprompter, pedestal, dolly, PrompterPro4 Software for Mac & PC, and more. Technical specifications cover everything from payloads to dimensions and materials.
Using this teleprompter is a breeze. First, assemble the pedestal and attach the fluid head. Then, mount the teleprompter system to the fluid head using the tripod plate. Make sure to adjust the sliding plate on the teleprompter base to balance the setup. You can use the dual panhandles to control the movement and mount zoom, focus, and iris controls. When connecting the monitor, use the HDMI, VGA, or Composite (BNC) inputs. The PrompterPro software that comes with it is compatible with both Mac and PC. For different camera sizes, use the dual-sided riser. When using the dolly, make sure the wheels are locked when you want to stay in place. When setting up the tripod, adjust the leg stages and use the mid-level spreader for stability. The spiked/retractable feet can be adjusted according to the surface. Remember, the maximum payload for the overall system is 22 lbs, and the counterbalance can support up to 13.2 lbs. Don't exceed these limits. After use, disassemble the system and store it in the provided carrying bags and hard case. The custom-cut foam in the hard case will keep everything safe and organized. Keep the system clean by using a soft, dry cloth to wipe the monitor and teleprompter glass. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Store the system in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This will help maintain its performance and longevity.
