Product Description

The KanexPro EXT - SDHDX Mini SDI to HDMI Converter is a budget - friendly option for SDI users who need to convert SDI signals to HDMI. It supports SDI, 3G - SDI, and HD - SDI, allowing you to connect to HD displays or monitors with an HDMI jack. This converter features signal re - clocking and equalization, making it great for long - distance SDI runs, especially in broadcasting and places of worship. It's ideal for broadcast monitoring on HDMI displays, saving you money compared to buying special monitors or proprietary SDI cards. Note that it only converts from SDI to HDMI and doesn't support 4K currently. Key features include high - quality 3G - SDI to HDMI conversion, an 8 - channel/48KHz audio de - embedder, support for multiple video resolutions, data rates up to 2.97 Gbps, and more. It can automatically switch between SD, HD, and 3 Gb/s SDI standards. Its compact size is perfect for mobile broadcasting units. For SDI transmission, an RG59 cable (a 75 - ohm high - quality coaxial cable is recommended) is required. Technical specs: Video input is 1 x SDI via a BNC connector, and output is 1 x HDMI female. It supports various resolutions and has specific environmental, regulatory, mechanical, and power requirements. The package includes the converter, a 5V DC power supply, and an operation manual.

Using the KanexPro EXT - SDHDX Mini SDI to HDMI Converter is easy. First, connect the SDI input cable (RG59, preferably a 75 - ohm high - quality coaxial cable) to the BNC input connector on the converter. Then, connect the HDMI output cable from the converter to your HD display or monitor with an HDMI jack. Plug in the external power supply (5V - 12V). The converter will automatically detect and switch between SD, HD, and 3 Gb/s SDI standards. When using it, make sure the operating temperature is between 0°C and +70°C, and the operating humidity is 10% to 85% RH without condensation. For storage, keep it in a place where the temperature is between - 10°C and +80°C and the humidity is 5% to 90% RH without condensation. To maintain the converter, keep it clean and free from dust. If you have any issues, refer to the operation manual that comes with the package. And remember, this converter only works for SDI to HDMI conversion and doesn't support 4K at the moment.
