Product Description

The ATEN VS162 2 - Port DVI Video Splitter is a top - notch device. It takes DVI video and audio input signals, duplicates and boosts them, then sends them to 2 DVI outputs. This splitter is perfect for broadcasting, classrooms, and power computer users. Key features include connecting DVI - enabled computers to multiple monitors or projectors. It's fully compliant with DVI - Digital and DVI - Analog standards, supporting DDWG - compliant monitors. With a built - in speaker for audio, it can be cascaded up to 3 levels, providing up to 8 video signals. Installation is quick, taking just minutes, and it maintains high - resolution video up to 1920 x 1200. It's also HDCP compliant and supports various operating systems like Windows 2000, XP, Linux, Mac, and Sun. Technical specs show it has a metal case, low power consumption, and works well in a wide temperature and humidity range.

Using the ATEN VS162 is easy. First, connect your computer with DVI graphics to the input DVI female connector on the splitter. You can also plug in your audio source to the earphone jack female input. Then, connect your DVI - compatible monitors or projectors to the 2 output DVI female connectors and the audio devices to the earphone jack female outputs. Make sure to use the appropriate power adaptor according to your region. When cascading, keep in mind the distance limits: 6 feet (1.8m) from the source to the device, 16 feet (5m) between devices, and 16 feet (5m) from the device to the display. As for maintenance, keep the device in a clean and dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures outside the operating range of 32F - 122F (0C - 50C). If the device isn't working properly, check all the connections first.
