Product Description

This is a used Rolls MS111 microphone muting switch. Although it may show signs of heavy use, its function is perfect. The ROLLS MS111 is a versatile muting switch for microphones. It allows phantom power to pass through without any popping sounds at the outputs. You can configure it to be Push to Mute or Release to Mute via a secondary switch on the unit's side. The mute switch can be set to Momentary (check the manual), and it comes set to latching from the factory. It only works with balanced signals. Key features include passing phantom power, having balanced female XLR input and male XLR output jacks, an activation switch that can be latching or momentary mute, a reversible activation switch where the 'Up' position can turn the mic on or off, the ability to be stand - mounted with the Rolls MSC106 mic mount accessory, and no popping at the outputs when switched. Technical specs: Input/Output Impedance is 600 Ohms, it has 2 XLR connections (1 male, 1 female), measures 2.5” W x 2” H x 3” D, and weighs 1 lb.

Using the Rolls MS111 microphone muting switch is easy. First, connect your microphone to the balanced female XLR input and your audio device to the male XLR output. If you want to change the muting mode, use the switch on the side of the unit. You can set it to Push to Mute or Release to Mute. The activation switch can be either latching or momentary - just refer to the manual for the momentary setting. When the switch is in the 'Up' position, you can choose whether to turn the mic on or off. As for mounting, you can use the Rolls MSC106 mic mount accessory to put it on a stand. A few things to note: This switch only works with balanced signals, so make sure your equipment is compatible. Also, since it's a used item, it may have some signs of wear, but the function is reliable. For maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth if it gets dirty. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity, as this could affect its performance.
