Product Description

The Marshall Electronics ARDM - AES - BNC 4 Unbalanced AES EBU Input Module is a top - notch choice for audio monitoring. It offers 4 unbalanced AES/EBU inputs (equivalent to 8 audio channel inputs) and 4 passive loop - through outputs (8 audio channel outputs). This module can accept both professional (AES/EBU) and consumer (SPDIF) audio formats. With an optional module, it supports DOLBY multi - channel decoding. Also, it can display embedded metadata when paired with the AR - DM2 - L Audio Monitor. When using the passive loop - through outputs, you need to unterminate the corresponding inputs by setting the DIP switch to the DOWN position. If you don't use the loop - through outputs, terminate the corresponding inputs by setting the switch to the UP position. Technical specs include 4 x AES/EBU (unbalanced 75Ω BNC) inputs and outputs, support for professional and consumer (SPDIF) formats, audio coding of PCM, DOLBY E, DOLBY DIGITAL (AC - 3), and sample rates of 44.1kHz and 48kHz.

Using this Marshall Electronics audio input module is quite straightforward. First, when you want to use the passive loop - through outputs, find the DIP switch and set it to the DOWN position. This will unterminate the corresponding inputs. If you're not using the loop - through outputs, set the switch to the UP position to terminate the inputs. It can accept both professional and consumer audio formats, so you can connect different types of audio sources. When you add the optional module, it can handle DOLBY multi - channel decoding, which is great for high - quality audio. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. Check the connections regularly to make sure they are secure. If you notice any issues with the audio quality or the module itself, contact the manufacturer for assistance.
