Product Description
The VDO360 Springline Transmit Module Extender is a great solution for USB device extension. It includes a transmit module, a receive module, and a power supply. Key features are numerous. It supports any high - speed (480 Mb/s), full - speed (12 Mb/s), or low - speed (1.5 Mb/s) USB device. You can place a USB PTZ Camera up to 50m (164 ft) away remotely. It adheres to the suspend/resume standard for energy - saving operation, allows hot plugging and unplugging, is cost - effective, and doesn't need a software driver. Technical specs: The local unit has an upstream USB type B male port and a downstream RJ45 jack, powered from the computer end. The remote unit has an upstream RJ45 jack and a downstream USB type A female port. It uses an external 24V 0.5A DC power supply. Dimensions are 66x60x24mm for the RX and 66x60x23mm for the TX. It works with standard category 5e/6 UTP or STP cables, with a max cable length of 50 m (164 ft), and operates at 32 to 150 F (0 to 65 C).
Using the VDO360 Springline Transmit Module Extender is easy. First, connect the local unit to your computer. The upstream port on the local unit is a USB type B male, so just plug it into your computer. Then, connect the remote unit to your USB device using the downstream USB type A female port. Use a standard category 5e/6 UTP or STP cable to connect the local and remote units, making sure the cable length doesn't exceed 50m (164 ft). When it comes to power, plug in the external 24V 0.5A DC power supply. You don't need to install any software drivers, so once everything is connected, your device should work right away. Here are some things to note. Don't exceed the maximum cable length, as it may affect the performance. Also, make sure the operating temperature stays between 32 to 150 F (0 to 65 C). For maintenance, keep the modules clean and dry. If you're not using the extender for a long time, unplug the power supply and store it in a safe place.
