Product Description

The MuxLab MonoPro XLR 500025 (male connector) balun is a great solution for extending a standard AES analog or digital XLR audio channel. It uses a single Cat5e/6 cable in a professional audio setting. This balun is built tough with heavy - duty cable strain relief, making it ideal for rental or staging. It comes with locking XLR3 connectors. It supports active microphones, needing the ground pin connected at both ends. You can extend stereo signals up to 5,000ft (1.5km) and digital audio signals up to 1,400ft (426m). The 500025 has an XLR3 plug. Key features include: extending line - level audio up to 5,000ft via single Cat5e/6, digital audio up to 1,400ft via single Cat5e/6, output impedance of 600 ohm and input impedance of 600 - 20k ohm for analog audio and 110 ohm for digital audio, a sample rate of up to 96kHz, the Cat5e/6 cable terminating inside the balun, locking metal XLR3 male connectors with cable strain relief, and an optional terminal for ground/shield.

Using the MuxLab 500025 Monopro XLR Male Balun is easy. First, connect the XLR male connector to your audio source. Then, connect the Cat5e/6 cable to the balun. Make sure to connect the ground pin at both ends if you're using an active microphone. You can extend your stereo signals up to 5,000ft or digital audio up to 1,400ft. When handling, be gentle with the locking XLR3 connectors to avoid damage. For maintenance, keep the balun clean and dry. If there's dust, you can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it. Store it in a cool and dry place when not in use. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity as this might affect its performance.
