Product Description

The LYNN AV & Security TechLogix Networx TL-FO-DVI is an amazing DVI over fiber optic cable extender. DVI cables are good for short - distance digital video signal transmission. But in larger buildings and rooms, signal performance can be a real headache. Using long DVI cables or connecting multiple ones can lead to signal drop - out, interference, pixelization and other issues. The TL - FO - DVI is here to solve these problems. It replaces traditional DVI cables with active electronics. It can send video signals up to 1,000 feet. Just connect the transmitter to your source device like a switcher, matrix, video processor or computer. Connect the receiver to your destination device such as a display or projector. Then connect the two units with a fiber optic patch cord (sold separately) and power supplies. Unlike boosters or twisted pair extenders, this extender uses fiber optic technology. It's immune to outside electrical interference and helps future - proof your facility. Key features include transmitting DVI over a fiber optic patch cable, extending 1080p and 1920x1200 video up to 1,000 ft. (300m.), having LC connectors on both transmitter and receiver, male DVI connectors for direct device connection, being single or multimode fiber compatible, powered via USB or standard AC, single fiber cable transmission and being immune to RF and EM interference.

Using the LYNN AV & Security TechLogix Networx TL - FO - DVI is quite simple. First, find your source device, which could be a switcher, matrix, video processor or computer. Connect the transmitter part of the TL - FO - DVI to this source device. Next, locate your destination device like a display or projector and connect the receiver to it. Then, use a fiber optic patch cord (you'll need to buy this separately) to connect the transmitter and the receiver. Finally, plug in the power supplies. You can power it using USB or a standard AC. When you're using it, make sure the fiber optic patch cord is properly connected. Avoid bending the cord too much as it might affect the signal. Also, keep it away from strong electrical sources because even though it's immune to a lot of interference, extreme conditions can still cause problems. For maintenance, just keep the device clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it down occasionally. If you notice any issues with the signal, check all the connections first. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer for further help.
