The Marshall Electronics ARDM - AES - XLR is a top - notch input module for audio monitors. It offers 4 balanced AES/EBU inputs, equivalent to 8 audio channel inputs. Key features include 4 passive loop - through outputs (8 audio channel outputs), XLR inputs and outputs via an included DB25 - XLR breakout cable. It supports DOLBY multi - channel decoding with an optional module and can display embedded metadata with the AR - DM2 - L audio monitor. In terms of technical specs, inputs are 4 x AES/EBU (balanced 110Ω XLR - F via DB - 25 connector), outputs are 4 x AES/EBU (balanced 110Ω XLR - M via DB - 25 connector) with passive loop - through. It supports professional and consumer (SPDIF) formats, and audio coding includes PCM, DOLBY E, DOLBY DIGITAL (AC - 3). Sample rates are 44.1kHz and 48kHz, and it comes with a “Tascam” standard pinout DB - 25 cable (Mogami GOLD - AES - TD - DB25 - XLR - 05 break - out cable).
